Overview

The Nuclear Medicine Section of the Division of Diagnostic Imaging of the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks a Board–Eligible, Residency-trained (recent graduate preferred), full-time Nuclear Medicine Fellow, commencing July 1, 2024. The candidate should have an interest in extensive clinical and research experience in nuclear oncology and thorough grounding in multi-probe PET/CT and image-guided radionuclide therapy. Innovative approaches to the treatment of malignancy with focus on Theranostics will be emphasized.

Additional background and Board Eligibility/Certification in Nuclear Medicine or Radiology is required.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching of residents, fellows, and graduate students at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and Graduate Division of the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, University at Buffalo, State University of New York.
  • Collaborate with surgical and medical oncologists, radiation medicine physicians, and pathologists to provide multidisciplinary care to patients.
  • Engage with outreach programs intended to increase services in the local community.
About the Department and Setting

The Nuclear Medicine Section of the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is on the second floor in the main hospital, is state-of-the-art and is staffed by three full-time nuclear medicine physicians. The nuclear medicine team works collaboratively with surgical and medical oncologists, radiation medicine physicians, and pathologists to provide multidisciplinary care to patients, as well as working with outreach programs.

Roswell Park is an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center (one of only two in New York State) and a State University of New York at Buffalo affiliate, with academic appointments for staff. The oncology center is in the heart of a thriving medical corridor in Buffalo, NY, a city with transformation, waterfront access, and proximity to Canada and the Toronto metropolitan area.

Features include a world-renowned symphony, art gallery, and numerous universities and colleges, with connections via Buffalo Niagara International Airport.
