WGR 550 AM is seeking technically-savvy candidates for a FULL TIME position overseeing the control room operation in a multi-faceted LIVE audio environment.

• Salary: $34,000.00/Yr. (New York-based; subject to education, experience, location, internal and external equity)

• Maintain Program and Commercial Log
• Operate Audio Control Board for Live, Satellite, Paid, and Pre-Recorded Programming
• Work with Show Hosts
• Record and Edit Audio
• Upload Audio and Post Information on Websites and Podcasts
• Transmit and Receive EAS Weekly and EAS Monthly Tests
• Monitor Broadcast Stations (6 Total) and Building-related emergencies; notify Engineer on Call immediately if problems are detected
• Other duties as required by management

• Audio board operation skills and digital editing abilities; able to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Experience interacting with live on-air talent; problem solver; maintain operation within FCC guidelines
• Flexible schedule preferred

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and/or fingers to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Position requires ability to manipulate knobs, levers, and push buttons.
