Buyer​/Planner; Finished Goods

Job Description What We Need:

The Buyer / Planner Finished Goods coordinates and is responsible for activities involved with the procuring & planning of goods and services such as finished goods, direct ship, and / or indirect supplies. Support of purchasing and planning duties will be through our SAP ERP system. This position is also responsible for focusing on customer needs and for modeling all of the Brady Focal Points and Values.

• Maintain product, packaging, and inventory / availability using MRP generated demand forecasts, historical orders and software tools in order to support the operation’s plans and customer demand of the plant.
• Responsible for the daily adding, changing, maintaining planning parameters for optimal and efficient ordering using ERP / MRP. All planning / ordering parameters / settings to be reviewed regularly.
• Maintain efficient stocking levels / ordering levels (Kan Ban) for non-consumable bulk materials.
• Generate and monitor open purchase orders and follow up on any past due or delayed receipts with the supplier or receiving.
• Responsible for assuring that the requirements for the purchased items are filled in a timely and cost-effective manner and that stocking levels are maintained within established guidelines.
• Expedite, reschedule or cancel component deliveries as dictated by changes in demand with the goal of continually aligning supply with demand thereby minimizing inventory exposure and realizing revenue opportunity.
• Immediately notify managers and sourcing of vendor supply chain issues to remedy the outage if possible in the fastest possible time.
• Notate any / all PO's with information from the vendor acknowledgements and submit any pricing or other vendor changes immediately to Master Data and Sourcing to help with correct product costing and prevent parked invoices for AP. Dates on PO to be adjusted to reflect correct arrival date for accurate sales order ATP.
• Resolve quality notifications for rejected materials.
• Identify and resolve inventory and system-related issues.
• Daily review and timely resolution of Parked Invoices.
• Ensure accurate receipt of all goods and audit invoices vs purchase costs.
• Develop professional relationships with suppliers, providing guidance in best practices for Just-In-Time delivery of assigned materials.
• Meet all laws, regulations, import / export regulations, industry standard, compliance issues, and EH&S standards.
• Work with all Brady team members to provide excellent on time delivery to our customers.

• Bachelor's Degree in Business / Supply Chain Management or 3-5 years' experience purchasing and knowledge of ERP systems (SAP Preferred).
• APICS certification a plus.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and / or Google Apps.
• Utilize a positive, proactive, professional attitude.
