What is ARCA?

ARCA provides a unique service to industrial parts suppliers by applying a circular economy approach to inventory management. We buy and sell industrial parts and equipment unlike any other business. We maintain warehouses with sophisticated product receiving and sorting systems that rapidly move parts out of storage and through diverse sales channels in a transparent and efficient manner. We employ a membership program that guarantees all assets are accounted for and do not compete with our clients' existing customer demand.

As a part of Circular Economy Group (CEG), what makes ARCA unique is a partnership approach with our clients that builds trust and loyalty at all points of the supply chain. We are not a classic recycling source, although we do work with all types of material and will provide a full solution to all challenges, including but not limited to appraisal, purchase, consignment, recycling, and logistics, in partnership with CEG’s other business units.

What is our e-Commerce Manager?

The Liquidation Channel Manager is crucial in guiding the end-of-life strategies for our product lines. This role involves assessing product conditions and market values, deciding the optimal liquidation avenues—be it direct sales, third-party channels, auctions, or recycling—and executing these strategies effectively. The manager will work closely with the VP of Product & Tech to ensure that materials are directed appropriately, reflecting ARCA’s commitment to sustainable practices, revenue optimization, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage strategies for various liquidation channel integrations; including software implementation, delegation to supporting team members or departments, and coordination with warehouse and logistics.
  • Assist in product evaluation to determine condition and resale value, categorizing them for appropriate liquidation or recycling paths in coordination with the Data team and Pricing Strategy.
  • Organize and maintain accurate records of inventory, channel outputs, and sales outcomes to be delivered to the VP of Sales.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the Intake team, ensuring alignment with overall liquidation strategies, product handling, lotting, recycling, and scrap processes.
  • Engage with customers and partners to negotiate sales or liquidation contracts, maintaining strong, persuasive communication. Develop and maintain long-term relationships and implement mutually beneficial programs that align with ARCA’s strategic goals and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Continuously research and analyze trends in the secondary market to maximize returns on sold or liquidated items.
  • Determine costs and service charges for programs or products where resale profit may not be possible. Ensure profitability of liquidation efforts across all CEG units.
  • Online Marketplaces: Utilizing popular online marketplaces or specialized industrial platforms to reach a broader audience. Tailoring strategies for each product category through marketing promotions or sales incentives.
  • Direct Sales to End Users: Working with the Ecommerce Manager and website development team to create and maintain Clearance or Bulk Sale categories and purchasing options to shoppers on
  • Refurbishment and Upcycling: Developing a channel that focuses on transforming items that can be refurbished or upcycled into new products to open up an entirely new market segment.
  • B2B Exchanges: Establishing or participating in business-to-business (B2B) exchange platforms to facilitate the sale or barter of end-of-life products among businesses that might find value in them.
  • Donation or Charitable Programs: Setting up a donation program to schools, non-profits, or startups for products that may not have significant resale value but are still functional.
  • Recycling Partnerships: Developing deeper partnerships with recycling firms that can process and repurpose complex materials to ensure sustainable disposal and uncover value from recycled raw materials.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experienced: Strong background in industrial product sales, particularly in electrical distribution, with a keen understanding of market dynamics and top players.
  • Skilled Negotiator: Excellent sales skills, able to secure favorable terms in various negotiation scenarios.
  • Proactive: A self-starter who can identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions effectively.
