We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Departmental Assistant (part-time) to support daily administrative tasks and help maintain an efficient office environment. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and able to handle a variety of office duties with professionalism and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities- Report to the Alfiero School of Business Department Chair
- Assist Alfiero School of Business Department Chair and faculty with professional and accurate document creation in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, Canva, (reports, presentations, posters, certificates)
- Google Calendar meeting and appointment scheduling
- Ongoing and timely digital (Google Drive) and physical file maintenance
- Bulletin board maintenance
- Take meeting minutes
- Ensure office supplies are adequate and well-organized
- Facilitate purchase requisitions
- Answer phones and greet visitors
- Photocopying and shredding
- Run errands across campus
- Mid-August through May: 16 hours per week, in office, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Mon, Tues, Wed, & Thurs
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred
- Previous administrative or clerical experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Google Suite including Google Calendar) and Zoom
- Ability to create highly professionally formatted documents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision, and able to work closely with faculty
- Adaptable, accurate, problem-solving capabilities
