Position: Senior Accountant, Holiday Inn Squire Resort

The opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for a Senior Accountant to join our field finance team at Squire Resort Holiday Inn located near the Grand Canyon. Our ideal candidate is an experienced accountant in the hospitality and/or food and beverage industries. If you are an organized self-starter, skilled in communicating effectively, preparing and analyzing general ledgers, and having a general understanding of internal and external audit practices, please apply.

Squire Resort Holiday Inn (322 rooms) is a resort style hotel located in Tusayan, AZ, directly outside of the Grand Canyon (South Rim National Park).

Role qualifies for relocation and subsidized employee housing provided near property.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $45,800 - $59,600 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range.

What will you do?
  • Prepare and post month-end close journal entries, complete account reconciliations, and support internal and external financial statement audits
  • Review, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts by identifying, researching, and clearly explaining variances in a timely and accurate manner
  • Produce, analyze, and interpret weekly and monthly internal financial reports to support operational and financial decision-making
  • Maintain accounting records, reports, and supporting documentation in an organized, accurate, and audit-ready format
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to ensure operational effectiveness, financial compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives
  • Provide oversight and direct supervision of a property-based accounting clerk responsible for Accounts Receivable and Birch Street system administration
More about you
  • Minimum of three years of accounting-related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • Hospitality experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for financial reporting, analysis, and record-keeping
  • Opera or property management software experience preferred
