The opportunity
Delaware North is hiring an Accountant, Record to Report to join our team in Buffalo, New York. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing journal entries, month end close, balance sheet account reconciliations, rent preparation, and reporting while acting as a primary liaison for unit accountants. PayMinimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $62,354 – $66,800 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range.

- Provide day-to-day direction and oversight of offshore Fixed Asset accounting teams, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned activities
- Assist the Senior Accounting Manager with administrative and operational tasks related to the Black Line reconciliation and close management tool
- Monitor construction-in-progress (CIP) balances and coordinate timely CIP-to-fixed asset transfers
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger every month
- Serve as subject matter expert for fixed asset accounting and capitalization policy
- Partner with Construction, IT, & Operations to resolve challenges to ensure compliance with Fixed Asset accounting policies and capitalization guidelines.
- Assist with system enhancements, ERP upgrades, and fixed asset module testing
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or finance
- Minimum of 1 year of accounting or finance experience required, fixed asset experience preferred
- Deep understanding of accounting functions and accounting processes
- Strong systems administration experience preferred
- Expertise in driving continuous improvement and business process management
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, People Soft Financials, or similar accounting software including Blackline and PMWeb
