COMPANY: Metalico Buffalo Inc.
JOB TITLE: Accounts Payable Clerk.
REPORTS TO: Controller.
JOB TYPE: Full-time, non-exempt.
LOCATION: 127 Fillmore Ave. Buffalo NY, 14210.
HOURS: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm, overtime as needed.
COMPENSATION: $19-21/hour, based on skills and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately code and enter invoices after ensuring appropriate timely review and approval for multiple companies/divisions under one corporate umbrella.
• Accurately match and process freight invoices.
• Ensure proper taxability of invoices, researching issues as needed.
• Weekly preparation and mailing of checks.
• Weekly preparation and submission of ACH payments.
• Maintain all accounts payable files.
• Analyze vendor accounts and reconcile with vendor statements and handle all vendor inquiries.
• Track all capital expenditures.
• Assist in monthly closings.
• Assist in yearly 1099 filings.
• Cross train and work as part of an Accounts Payable Team.
• Participate in special projects or perform other tasks as assigned or requested by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Two-year Accounting Degree or High School Diploma with 1-3 years related experience in Accounts Payable; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The ability to act responsibly and ethically when working with sensitive financial information.
• Solid communication skills, with proficiency in speaking and writing.
• Computer literacy - including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong people skills - a polite and professional demeanor when working with other companies, as well as customers and coworkers.
• Detail oriented, and able to multitask.
• Must be a hard worker and a team player.
