Staff Accountant

Overview

Mower is currently seeking an organized Staff Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level person (3-5 years’ experience) to gain additional accounting experience in an agency culture where employees are valued and there is a fun and positive work environment.

• Complete various month-end closing tasks (bank reconciliations, prepaids, depreciation journal entries, etc.)
• Generate and reconcile client invoices with production and media spend
• Collaborate with agency team members for client and vendor invoicing
• Aid in the submission of sales tax
• Approve and process expense reports
• Review annual 1099 vendor information for submittal
• Accounts Payable entry as needed
• Contact clients for A/R collections
• Assist with the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the department
• Report creation and generation
• Work on special projects as needed
• Other duties to be performed as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 3-5 plus years related work experience
• Strong understanding of the general ledger and accounting practices
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interpersonal skills to work in a team environment
• Effective verbal and listening skills
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Very efficient organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting systems, spreadsheets, and email at a highly proficient level
• Professional, courteous, and effective written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 annually

• Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience
