General
Purpose:
Responsible for supporting the implementation of routine activities related to the efficient management of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs in offices and manufacturing sites in order to ensure that the required company and government standards and regulations are met.

Typical Day:
- Conduct staff training sessions on EH&S policy and procedures. May be required to demonstrate and evaluate proper use of equipment.
- Participate in meetings involving environmental, health, safety, training, and awareness programs.
- Participate in accident report investigations and determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
- Attend presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules. Document tracking of internal audits and inspections.
- Collaborate to institute control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions and/or equipment.
- Manage employee programs such as safety shoe and safety glasses.
- Participate in inspections and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices, in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
- Investigate health-related complaints and inspect facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations.
- Provide presentations and updates to emergency response plans and procedures.
- Stop work authority for situations that pose threats to workers health and safety.
- Lead the site safety committee, including meeting presentations, action items, and overall program implementation.
- Provide coaching to employees on health and safety best practices.
- Assist in waste management activities related to scheduling pick-ups, organization, chemical inventory, and waste segregation.

Pay Range (Applicable to Illinois): $25.61 USD - $35.21 USD
