Senior Infrastructure Engineer

One of our closest clients, a growing national payroll and workforce solutions organization operating in a highly regulated, compliance-driven environment is hiring for their growing in-house team! Their infrastructure supports secure handling of sensitive financial and employee data, with strong requirements around availability, security, and audit readiness.

With rapid and steady growth due to this company acquiring others, they are seeking a hands on Senior Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain a multi-site hybrid environment across Cisco Meraki, Microsoft 365, Azure, and on-prem systems.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Serve as a senior escalation resource and hands-on administrator across network, cloud, and systems environments
• Administer and maintain hybrid infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and on-prem systems
• Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of core IT services
• Lead root cause analysis and remediation of infrastructure incidents
• Maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures
• Spearhead special projects relating to migrations, upgrades, refreshes, security provisioning while also providing day to day operational support and administration.

Technical Support and Administration Requirements:

Microsoft 365

• Administer Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and One Drive
• Manage user provisioning, licensing, and access controls
• Configure and enforce Conditional Access, MFA, and Defender security policies
• Support email security, mail flow, retention, and compliance configurations
• Troubleshoot tenant-level issues and coordinate with Microsoft support
• Manage Azure Virtual Machines, VNets, Storage Accounts, and Backup & Recovery
• Administer Azure AD / Entra  hybrid identity integrations
• Monitor performance, security, and cost optimization
• Support ongoing Azure and Microsoft 365 improvements, tenant optimization, and cloud migrations as the organization continues to scale.
• Administer multi-site Meraki environments
• Manage VLANs, segmentation, routing, switching, and traffic policies
• Support site-to-site VPNs and remote connectivity
• Participate in firmware upgrades, configuration changes, and optimization
• Troubleshoot production network issues and coordinate with ISPs/vendors
• Execute network refreshes and office/site upgrades
• Implement security enhancements aligned with compliance and business continuity requirements
