Who will you be working with? You ll be joining our innovative Wabtec Bus Solutions division, a team dedicated to developing leading systems for the Transit Bus & Rail industries including eBus charging systems, innovative passenger door systems, access ramps, and wheelchair lifts. As a member of the Wabtec Bus Solutions Group, you will be a

• Requires a bachelor s degree in area of specialty and at least 8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• 5+ years working in supply chain & commodity management, and supplier management in a high mix, global sourcing and operations manufacturing environment.
• Ability to review, read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience with sourcing CNC, Metal fabrication, stampings, extrusions, and castings.
• Knowledge of MRP systems.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies a variety of diversified engineered and metal components.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to solve for current production issues and new product introductions.
• Reviews bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
• Ensures suppliers are meeting promise dates and helps them solve delivery issues where applicable.
• Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop potential suppliers to meet Wabtec s quality and performance standards.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

The salary rate for this role is currently $ The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
