Position: Weekend Bottling Supervisor (Nights) - Deep Eddy Vodka

This position is based at our Deep Eddy Vodka production facility in Buda, TX. Schedule for this position is Friday, Saturday, Sunday, working a 12 (twelve) hour overnight shift, 5:30pm-6:00am.

What

The Role Is

The Bottling Supervisor will directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating employees, including bottling line operators, bottling line workers, plant, and system operators. This position is responsible for implementing and managing daily production activities including Safety, Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices and Continuous Improvement initiatives to ensure plant goals and objectives are achieved.

How You Will Spend Your Time?
  • Manage and lead the daily activities of team members in the production of high-quality distilled spirits products
  • Ensure safety compliance to OSHA, GMP and company guidelines
  • Cooperate with other supervisors, managers and employees to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
  • Coach and provide technical expertise to team members
  • Conduct or assign employee training in equipment operations
  • Ensure efficient production operation during the shift
  • Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
  • Oversee maintenance and assist with fixing mechanical issues throughout the facility, including bottling lines, to minimize production gaps
  • Maintain inventory counts of consumables for bottling lines and order product as needed
  • Allocate liquid to bottling shop orders and close shop orders once bottling is complete
  • Schedule and conduct communication meetings with team members
  • Support Key Performance Indicators of productivity, safety, quality, and 5S and make decisions concerning these commitments
  • Lead by example and hold employees accountable for work practices that support organizational goals and objectives
  • Manage shift schedule, including work assignments, training, vacations, breaks, overtime, and accurate recording of employee time and attendance
  • Float to the processing & quality departments to offer support as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Champion positive communication, strong collaboration, and teamwork while modeling the core values of the Spirited Commitment
Who You Are… Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent years of supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2 years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead effectively in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong teamwork approach with employees and departments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
Valued But Not Required Skills And Experience
  • Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Distilled spirits or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) bottling industry experience preferred

  • Frequently stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours per day; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms.
