We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic IOP Counselor to join our team. The counselor will provide individual and group counseling to clients, develop tailored treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support clients in their journey toward sobriety and recovery.

Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current and valid licensure or certification in substance abuse counseling (e.g., CADC, LCDC, LADC, or equivalent) in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with substance use disorder clients, preferably in a residential or outpatient setting.
  • Knowledge of evidence‑based treatment modalities, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and 12‑step facilitation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with clients.
  • Commitment to upholding confidentiality, ethics, and professional standards.

Note:

This position is onsite and requires physical presence at our treatment facility.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate individual counseling sessions, addressing substance use challenges and co‑occurring mental health disorders.
  • Lead group therapy sessions focusing on addiction recovery, coping strategies, relapse prevention, and life skills development.
  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans with achievable recovery goals.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine clients needs and progress.
  • Work closely with medical staff, case managers, and other team members to provide holistic client care.
  • Provide education and support to clients' families to help rebuild trust and improve relationships.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in regular case reviews, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.
