Job Summary:
As the Electrical Safety Manager, you will develop, implement, and oversee the company's safety programs to ensure compliance with industry regulations and promote a culture of safety. You will work closely with field teams and leadership to maintain a safe work environment across all commercial electrical projects.
Requirements
As the Electrical Safety Manager, You Will:
- Develop, implement, and manage company-wide safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety concerns; implement corrective actions.
- Provide ongoing safety training and toolbox talks for employees.
- Maintain safety records and report key metrics to leadership.
- Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to identify and mitigate risks.
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills.
- Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate with insurance providers.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field (not required, but preferred).
- 5+ years in a safety leadership role within commercial electrical construction.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, and other safety regulations.
- Experience conducting safety audits and training sessions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- First Aid/CPR Certification required; CHST or CSP preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Combination of field and office work, including site visits to active construction projects.
- Exposure to construction site hazards and varying weather conditions.
