Job Title: Apprentice Pastry Chef
Location: Stowe School, Buckingham, MK18
Salary: £12.21 per hour

- Food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation skills
- Working efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen environment
- Understanding and maintaining food hygiene, safety, and allergen regulations
- Assisting in the production of high‑quality meals for students, staff and special events
- Learning how to work with fresh, seasonal ingredients to create healthy and delicious dishes
- Supporting stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation
- Essential: A keen interest in cooking and professional catering
- Agricultural or culinary GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above preferred). If not already achieved, we will support you to complete these as part of the apprenticeship.
- Willingness to learn and work towards a Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship
- A strong work ethic, enthusiasm and commitment to training
- Desirable: Previous kitchen experience (not essential but beneficial)
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (training will be provided if not held)
- Knowledge of food safety, allergens and hygiene standards
