About The Role
EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
We are looking to recruit an Assistant Site Engineer with Earthworks and/or Structures experience to join our team in the Calvert area. In this role you will liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme and budget. You will work with the setting-out team, be responsible for the performance and development of junior engineers, identify and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with the senior team and Sub-Agent, and monitor and coordinate subcontractors to ensure contractual requirements are met.
You will also assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting.

KeySkills and Qualifications
- HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE)
- Experience in Earthworks and/or Structures is essential for this role
- Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills
- CSCS card required (Black, Gold, White, White/Yellow, Red Experienced or Red Provisional (6 months))
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle required
