Subject Lead of Art Secondary School

A high-performing secondary school in Buckingham is seeking an experienced and inspiring Subject Lead of Art to lead and develop their Art department. You will be responsible for leading Art across KS3 and KS4 with the opportunity to shape provision at KS5 where applicable. Alongside a reduced teaching timetable you will provide clear curriculum direction, drive high-quality teaching and learning and support colleagues to deliver engaging and ambitious lessons.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Curriculum planning and development
• Overseeing assessment and moderation
• Monitoring progress and outcomes and ensuring consistency and high standards across the department
• Managing resources and budgets effectively
• Promoting enrichment opportunities such as exhibitions and trips
• Contributing to whole-school improvement as a middle leader
