Are you driven to make a meaningful difference in young people’s lives? Do you have a passion for behaviour support, student wellbeing, and inclusion? This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Buckingham, where positive relationships and pupil progress are at the heart of everything they do.

The School
This “Good” rated school is committed to inclusive practice, early intervention, and continuous improvement. Staff work collaboratively to provide a calm, nurturing learning environment that promotes emotional regulation, resilience, and positive behaviour for learning. Students are well supported to build confidence, self-esteem, and engagement in their education.

The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions for students with behavioural, social, and emotional needs. You will work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to implement consistent behaviour management strategies and contribute to personalised behaviour support plans. A key part of the role is building strong, trusting relationships with students, acting as a positive role model while promoting self-regulation, motivation, and engagement.

You will also monitor and record progress, providing clear feedback to staff and communicating effectively with parents and carers.

About You
We are looking for a calm, resilient, and empathetic individual with experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs, SEMH, or additional learning needs (desirable but not essential). You will have strong communication and de-escalation skills, a proactive and solution-focused mindset, and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations. A genuine commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and student wellbeing is essential.

Why Join Supply Desk?
Supply Desk works in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council, offering a wide range of education opportunities and a strong focus on professional development. You will benefit from a pension contribution scheme, ongoing support from a dedicated consultant, and access to varied career pathways. The school is conveniently located in Buckingham and continues to grow, having made significant improvements in recent years.
