The pay range per hour is $22.00 - $37.40. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. Responsibilities- The Closing team continues the momentum from the team’s day of hard work to finish strong; they take care of the guest until the doors close each night. They prioritize through the eyes of the guest, have a deep understanding of each leader’s vision for their business, and have fun with the team while nailing closing routines.
- As a Closing Team Leader, responsibilities include guest service fundamentals, driving storewide sales volume and profitability, developing effective business partnerships across the store, and leading closing routines and coaching team members across areas.
- Typical day includes enterprise-wide tasks such as inclusivity, service culture, understanding sales growth impact on store profitability, onboarding and learning best practices, coaching, and closing skill development.
- Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices with team onboarding and learning; help close skill gaps through development, coaching and team interactions.
- Support store operations by focusing on guest experience, establishing routines, ensuring departments are zoned, in-stock, signed and labeled, and setting up the store for the next day.
- Use business planning tools to share priorities and updates with store leadership; take action to achieve performance goals.
- Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team; support onboarding and learning; hold team members accountable to expectations; collaborate with leaders to share performance feedback.
- Follow all safe and secure training and processes; address all store emergency and compliance needs; model ethical conduct, safety and compliance; lead and monitor safety with the team.
- Demonstrate guest engagement, welcoming interactions, and problem-solving to meet guest needs; thank guests for shopping at Target.
- Model physical security processes to enhance in-store security; support merchandise protection strategies across the total store; including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices.
- Support guest services such as order pickup (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders and DU Returns, maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
- All other duties based on business needs.

- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
