Rainbow Valley Elementary (High-Needs School)

The Permanent Guest Teacher will be assigned up to three school campus for the school year. The Permanent Guest Teacher will be a consistent presence on the school campus to assist in covering teacher absences. Daily assignments will be determined by the needs of the school.

To enable each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of his/her regular teacher.

• Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which he/she is assigned.
• Provides instruction outlined in lesson plans prepared by the absent teacher.
• Assumes responsibility for overseeing students' behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods.
• Follows all policies, rules, and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.
• Reports in writing, on the form provided by the school secretary, on the day’s activities at the conclusion of each teaching day.
• Must be flexible as classroom, grade level, and subject matter assignments may change on a daily basis.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree
• Valid Arizona Substitute Certificate or Teacher Certificate
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Previous Teacher or Guest Teacher experience preferred
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

$168.50 per day

• 4 days per week
