Overview
Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T2204) role rting hourly rate: $15.00 USD per hour.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
- Engage with guests to understand and solve their specific needs.
- Inform guests about current promos, store activities, and events.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience; assist with Target Loyalty programs when needed.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
- Explain and demonstrate how to use features within the Target App, including Wallet; assist with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering.
- Assist with returns by following register prompts and partnering with Leaders as needed, while following Target policies.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours as needed.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up orders, and returns, complying with applicable laws (including adult beverage laws where relevant).
- Perform other duties based on business needs.
- You enjoy interacting with guests and helping others, including team members.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, active, and physically demanding environment where teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving are key.
- You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times).

- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to educate guests about products and services and engage accordingly.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work independently or with a team.
- Maintain focus in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks within time frames.
- Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash handling as needed.
- Safely scan, handle, and move merchandise; lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally (with or without assistance).
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance.
- Mobility required for the duration of scheduled shifts.
- Able to work in varying temperatures and conditions during certain duties (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
