Maintenance Technician II - Facilities Services

General Summary

Performs plumbing work including installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems.

• Installs new plumbing including pipes, valves, drains, basins, faucets, lavatories, sinks, drinking fountains, hot water heaters, and a variety of other plumbing fixtures and equipment;
• Repairs plumbing systems including pipelines;
• Repairs chilled and heated water systems;
• Repairs various appliances including laundry and kitchen equipment;
• Reads and interprets blueprints and written instructions;
• Provides assistance to building maintenance as needed;
• And confers with supervisor concerning construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair projects.

Required:

High school graduation or its equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Required:

At least three years of experience.

Required:

Texas Journeyman Plumber's license.
