Area Supervisor
Location:
College Station, TX
The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership who is responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store as well as the general operations and supervision of the Store when functioning as the Manager on Duty. Area Supervisors are responsible for opening and closing the Store, supervising Associates, maintaining a friendly, easy to shop environment, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and maintaining a clean work area at all times.
They also execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
- Safeguard safety as the number one priority and practice safe behaviors in all activities.
- Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor and correct or report any unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
- Secure the building, including entrance/exit control, Electronic Article Surveillance device checks, Cash Office security, armored carrier pick‑ups, and register area.
- Remove clutter and ensure safe, clear egress to emergency exits.
- Protect customer safety including accident prevention, accident reporting and emergency procedures.
- Test all fire alarm systems as scheduled and respond to after‑hours alarms when requested.
- Treat all Customers, Associates, and other leaders with respect and demonstrate courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism at all times.
- Represent and support the Company brand at all times and maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the Company Dress Code.
- Keep all areas of the Store clean, well‑maintained, and merchandised to standard, including daily trash removal.
- Ensure recovery, sizing, and markdowns are completed to Company standards through teaching, assigning tasks, and following up per Company best practices.
- Responsible for receiving merchandise truck when needed and process all merchandise with a sense of urgency.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all Stockrooms and help deliver and place merchandise on the sales floor when all merchandise is processed.
- Execute all Company Best Practices and maximize productivity by minimizing steps and touches while working.
- Conduct “Code 50” package inspections and maintain the Public View Monitor system properly.
- Train and coach Associates on cash registers, shortage control policies, and other Front End procedures to meet friendly and productivity standards.
- Ensure all equipment is working properly and maintain proper supplies and recovery for the Front End area.
- Maintain go backs that are expedited, properly scanned, security tagged, and ticketed.
- Teach all Associates the “Scan and Bag” best practice and ensure salability of merchandise on the Front End, aisle tables, Women’s and Men’s 4‑way features, and specialty racks.
- Maintain the maintenance and cleanliness of the Fitting Rooms and audit all garment tags to Company policy.
- Ensure go‑back compliance throughout the day and ticket, scan, nub, and security tag all returned merchandise as needed.
- Execute all Company Best Practices to maximize productivity by minimizing steps and touches while working.
- Ensure cash pulls and bank deposits are conducted to Company policy and handle Front End control when needed.
- Responsible for payroll administration including daily punch edits, Associate scheduling compliance, Sunday payroll transmission, and payroll reporting as needed.

- Fluency in English.
- Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
- Familiarity with point‑of‑sale equipment and applications.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required.
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store.
