This is an On-Demand Team Member (TM) position with a flexible schedule; shifts are posted by leaders or team members and can vary with store needs. Attendance and active engagement are required, including picking up shifts at least every 4 weeks and responding to communications to confirm interest in shifts.

A Welcome orientation and short-term training are required before using the myTime app to pick up shifts. You may be asked to work a minimum number of hours and shifts to remain employed.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Knowledge of in-store and digital services and solutions to drive adoption, usage, and guest loyalty. Ability to deliver quick and easy shopping experiences at checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while maintaining quality.

As a Guest Advocate, you will develop skills in communication, problem solving, adaptability, and product/service knowledge to help guests and support store operations.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests needing assistance to solve their specific needs.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their decision to shop at Target.
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Inform guests of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
• Explain Target Loyalty benefits and assist with enrollment; direct guests to enrollment, activation and use of fulfillments services.
• Demonstrate how to use Wallet and other Target App features.
• Handle returns following register prompts, consulting with leaders as needed and following Target policies.
• De-escalate situations with leaders as needed to recover the guest shopping experience.
• Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during open store hours.
• Practice ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as OPU, Drive-up, and DU Returns while complying with relevant laws and policies.
• Assist with Cash Office processes as needed.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Accurate cash handling and support for cash office operations as needed.
• Ability to scan, handle and move merchandise safely; lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally with assistance as needed.
• Flexibility to pick up shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) to meet store needs.
• Active engagement by picking up shifts and responding to contact attempts; must work at least one shift within 5 months or will be terminated.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
• Mobility to be on-site for the duration of scheduled shifts.
