This position partners directly with the CEO, CFO, and Technical Leadership Team.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities Commercialization Strategy Development
  • Develop and maintain a phased commercialization roadmap from pilot through demonstration to commercial-scale deployment.
  • Define differentiated value propositions across priority markets (e.g., renewable fuels, low-carbon solutions, circular feed stocks).
  • Translate technical development milestones into commercial inflection points and valuation drivers.
  • Identify high-probability market entry pathways and early adopter segments.
  • Support go-to-market and early offtake strategy development.
  • Build investor-grade financial models tied to staged scale-up scenarios.
  • Support equity raises, strategic investment rounds, grant funding, and non-dilutive capital initiatives.
  • Align capital strategy with technical developmenttimelines and risk reduction milestones.
  • Define capital requirements for pilot, demonstration, and first-of-a-kind (FOAK) facilities.
  • Support data room preparation and investor due diligence processes.
Milestone-Based Value Creation Framework
  • Establish measurable technical and commercial milestones linked to valuation inflection points.
  • Develop stage-gated capital deployment frameworks.
  • Integrate R&D progress into enterprise-level strategic planning.
  • Provide board-level runway analysis, risk forecasting, and milestone tracking dashboards.
  • Monitor regulatory frameworks, renewable fuel standards, carbon incentives, and tax credit programs.
  • Identify policy mechanisms and subsidy structures that enhance project economics.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking of emerging technologies and adjacent solutions.
  • Evaluate strategic partnerships with offtake partners, infrastructure players, and strategic investors.
Develop and maintain dynamic financial models incorporating

  • CAPEX and phased deployment planning
  • Feedstock assumptions and supply scenarios

Additional responsibilities

Executive & Board Communication
  • Prepare board-ready strategic updates and commercialization progress reports.
  • Develop investor materials articulating technology differentiation, scalability, and capital efficiency.
  • Present commercialization pathways in clear, disciplined, and capital-aware narratives.
  • Support diligence processes with data-driven strategic insights.
Strategic Impact
  • Strengthen investor confidence during the pre-revenue phase.
  • Secure capital aligned with milestone achievement and de-risking progress.
  • Enhance capital efficiency across staged deployment.
  • Position the company as a scalable, investable technology platform.
  • Build credibility with strategic, infrastructure, and climate-focused investors.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering a plus, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Renewable Energy, or related discipline
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred (Project Management, Energy Management, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering)
  • 8–12+ years of experience in strategy, investment banking, venture capital, project finance, cleantech growth, or commercialization
