Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) delivers quality therapy services to patients by implementing treatment in accordance with the established treatment plan to achieve goals to maximize functional outcomes in an IP and OP setting. The PTA provides care at the direction of the supervising Physical Therapist and actively participates in discharge planning. The PTA is responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice following the guidelines of the State of Texas Board of Examiners for Physical Therapy.
Services are delivered within the framework of an interdisciplinary team approach, including the patient and significant others. These services are delivered in compliance with Common Spirit, St. Joseph's mission, ethical standards, and policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Major in Kinesiology/Applied Science or other Physical Therapy related field
