Job PurposeThe Electrical Engineer will have overall responsibilities for the electrical design on a project. The position will collaborate and direct other electrical staff during the design and documentation of the electrical system. The position will coordinate the electrical design with all other disciplines to ensure complete internal and external client coordination.
Description Job PurposeThe Electrical Engineer will oversee the electrical design for projects, collaborating with and directing electrical staff during design and documentation. Coordination with other disciplines and external clients is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare design documents in accordance with company standards.
- Monitor project status to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate document completion for QA/QC review before deadlines.
- Coordinate staffing needs weekly with the Project Manager.
- Review electrical budget hours and recommend adjustments.
- Work with electrical staff to identify tasks and assign staffing.
- Manage manpower needs and monitor electrical budgets with the Project Manager.
Beyond maintaining professional registration, 10 hours of company-sponsored continuing education are required annually, including participation in discipline training sessions or approved outside classes. Vendor classes are encouraged but do not count towards the 10 hours.
Working ConditionsThis role may require night and weekend work to meet project deadlines.

Requirements Qualifications- Registered Professional Engineer
- Ability to foster client relationships for future work
- Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with mechanical staff to meet project deadlines
Ability to carry up to 50 lbs of drawings and climb ladders is required.
