Our client is looking for a Ops Engineer to join them on a contract basis.

Please be aware for this role the successful candidate must have a belgium residence and speak English.

You will be based out of their Brussels office and will be required to go into the office 50% of the time.

Key responsibilities

responsible for the deployment of applications and/or infra components over different environments, and responsible for the stability of their own application and/or infra component

identification of application and infra related problems

taking the lead for incident solution

responsible for monitoring, documenting, testing, performance, life cycle management, study, technical behaviour and run of the application and/or infra components

coordination of all modifications for different infra components and environments

specification, design, testing and deployment of the runtime runbooks and the rollback runbooks

specification, design and execution of performance and acceptance testing (including high availability and disaster recovery testing)

assuming all application and/or infra modifications to be compliant with ecurity policies

contribute to the construction of the architecture, the setup of environments, and ensure the execution of life cycle management

take all required actions to configure and implement monitoring via tools (Alerts)

ensure that the squad contributes to service operations processes. Responsible for the execution and follow up of ITIL processes like "incident", "problem" and "change" process

responsible for the creation/maintenance of documentation and knowledge base required for incident solving concerning the application and/or infra component

indicate and escalate potential impediments

initiate process improvements

Required skills

Expert in implementation of Kubernetes

Expert in usage of Terra Form

Follows the Customer processes for projects, incident and change management

Being standalone and team worker, analytical minded, meet commitment, ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment, flexible, customer-oriented, understand risk awareness

Motivated self-starter, process-oriented with high attention to detail

Able to understand bank related business processes and assess impacts on business
