Join a leading Level One Trauma Center as an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room care with a focus on Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures. This contract opportunity requires at least three years of Level 1 trauma-trained experience and proficiency in advanced surgical nursing. Nurses comfortable managing a diverse patient population from pediatrics through geriatrics will thrive in this dynamic role.

Brunswick, ME offers a charming coastal community with scenic beauty, a rich cultural scene, and excellent outdoor recreational options including beaches, hiking trails, and boating. It combines small-town friendliness with easy access to urban amenities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert perioperative nursing care during complex surgical procedures including robotics (Da Vinci Xi), PCNLs, nephrectomies, ureteral reimplants, hysterectomies, cystectomies, colpocleisis, hysteroscopies, and ureteroscopies
- Support a 26-bed unit with 1:1 patient ratios, employing advanced equipment like Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot
- Maintain competency with the Epic EMR system
- Collaborate effectively as a flexible, accountable, and team-oriented professional in a fast-paced environment
- Fulfill call requirements including overnight trauma coverage on a rotating basis
- Minimum of 3 years RN-Operating Room experience with level 1 trauma certification
- Competence in robotics-assisted surgery and specialized GU/GYN procedures
- Preferred certifications: CNOR
- Experience with a broad surgical patient base including trauma, ortho, neuro, ENT, plastics, pediatrics, and endovascular procedures
- 3x12-hour day shifts (7 a.m.
- 7 p.m.) - 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week plus one out of four weekends with 12-hour shifts
- One overnight call per week from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. for trauma responsibilities
