An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room care, with a focus on Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures, at a reputable Level One Trauma Center. This contract role requires a minimum of three years of Level 1 trauma experience and proficiency in advanced surgical techniques including robotics (DaVinci Xi), PCNLs, nephrectomies, ureteral reimplants, hysterectomies, cystectomies, colpocleisis, hysteroscopies, and ureteroscopies.

The nurse will provide expert care across a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics while thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver perioperative nursing care for complex GU and GYN surgeries
  • Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including robotic systems
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in trauma and specialty surgeries
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout procedures
  • Respond appropriately to trauma and specialty call assignments as scheduled
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
  • Registered Nurse with active licensure
  • Minimum three years Level 1 trauma experience in Operating Room nursing
  • Competency in robotic surgical systems (DaVinci Xi) and relevant GU/GYN procedures
  • CNOR certification is preferred
  • Ability to function in a high-pressure, high-acuity environment
  • Strong teamwork, flexibility, and accountability traits
Schedule & Hours:
  • Day shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Weekend rotation: 1 in 4 weekends, 12-hour shifts
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
  • Call requirement:
    One overnight trauma call (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) when applicable
