The OpportunityWe’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team as a Lead Provider, responsible for providing exceptional care and making a real impact on the lives of our patients within our urgent care clinic. Lead Providers act as clinical leaders for all clinical staff, mentoring and supporting new-grad providers as well as allied healthcare professionals.

Your Impact- Provide Patient-Centered Care: Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address short- and long-term patient needs while maintaining high-quality, efficient care.
- Assess patient health: Interview patients, perform physical examinations, obtain and update medical histories.
- Determine abnormal conditions: Administer or order diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays, ECGs, laboratory studies) and interpret test results.
- Perform therapeutic procedures: Administer injections and immunizations, suture, and manage wounds and infections.
- Educate and counsel: Provide patient education, discuss therapeutic regimens, wellness, and family planning as appropriate.
- Prepare clear, complete, accurate medical records for each patient. Type, edit, and electronically sign notes, reports, and records using EMR in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with company and state procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Comply with legal and professional requirements, including monitoring legislation and advising management on needed actions.
- Work collaboratively with providers and healthcare practitioners within the clinic to efficiently treat patients and plan coordinated dispositions, including transfers, in a timely manner.
- Act as a clinic leader when the Practice Manager is not in clinic. Provide support and mentorship to new-graduate providers and other clinic staff.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational opportunities, reviewing publications, networking, and participating in professional societies.
- Act as a preceptor to new provider staff, providing information, education, and growth opportunities.
- Education, Licensure & Certifications: Master’s degree and certification by an NP certifying body. DEA license with no restrictions. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross). CPR/ACLS not accepted in place of BLS.
- Relevant experience: Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
- Leadership: Willing and able to mentor providers and clinic staff.
- Team player: Enjoy collaborating and contributing to a strong team dynamic.
- Communication: Proactive and confident written and verbal communicator, able to address concerns professionally.
- Patient-focused: Compassionate, authentic, and committed to patient care.
- Technical skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office and clinical management systems (EMR).
- Knowledge areas: Familiar with patient services principles, relevant laws/regulations (HIPAA/OSHA), pharmacology basics, and current medical evaluation and treatment practices.
