Mid Coast Hospital has a per diem opening to join our team as a Behavioral Health Counselor. Our inpatient behavioral health unit treats patients with mental health conditions that require 24-hour care. The unit offers expert treatment in a state‑of‑the‑art therapeutic facility.
SummaryThe role of Behavioral Health Counselor involves providing comprehensive care and support to clients with behavioral health needs. The key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing direct care through individual, group, and family therapy sessions. The incumbent will be under direct clinical supervision for services provided.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Certifications:
LSX, LSW, MHRT/C, or MHRT/CSP from the respective licensing board of the State of Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation (OPOR) preferred.
