Mechanic, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Overview

Tico is hiring Mechanics, All Skill Levels / All Shifts at our site in Brunswick, GA. This position is typically an 8-hour shift, with occasional overtime. Great pay, benefits, sign on bonus, and lots of room for growth. 95% of our fleet are trucks we build at our plant in Ridgeland, SC. They all have the same power package and driveline and are mirror images of each other, making it easier for a mechanic to learn.

We can train the right candidate.

• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/C, steering, cooling, DPF, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Utilize computer software diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software to document parts usage and repair times.
• Review, complete, or assign repairs.
• Perform maintenance-related work as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Communicate needed repairs or tasks effectively.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Preferably 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Heavy truck repair
  • Heavy, medium duty or farm equipment repair
  • Forklift or construction equipment repair
  • Automotive maintenance and repair
  • Completion of a diesel or automotive tech program

A good attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic are preferred. Must maintain your own tool set (company-provided tool program available).
