Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, General Labor
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all types of heavy equipment (Forklift & Rail Loaders)
- Hydraulic Experience
- Assist with facilities maintenance as needed (IE car wash sewage lift repair, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
- Shift: Monday-Saturday 6:00am-3:30pm or 2:00pm-10:30pm with the possibility of overtime/and or weekend as instructed based on business needs.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid US Driver’s License
- 1+ year of mechanical and/or maintenance experience
- Basic set of mechanics hand tools at least up to 1 1/2” wrenches, sockets, metric, and standard
- Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security
- Must have demonstrated commitment to safety.
- Complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to effectively communicate, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Experience using software applications that support the department’s operations.
- Must be certified in forklift mechanical skills
- Climb up and down on equipment and ladders.
- Exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects, and other conditions which may exist from time to time.
- Work in an environment that may be hazardous to people unable to see and hear fast-moving equipment.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Lift, push, and or pull up to 50lbs.
