Automotive Technician, Diesel Mechanic
Tico is hiring Mechanics, All Skill Levels/All Shifts at our site in Brunswick GA
. This position is typically an 8-hour shift, with occasional overtime. Great pay, benefits,
sign on bonus and lots of room for growth! 95% of our fleet are trucks we build at our plant in Ridgeland S.C. They all have the same power package and driveline. They are mirror images of each other so a mechanic only has to learn one set of systems – we can train the right candidate!
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Perform inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/C, steering, cooling, DPF, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
- Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
- Utilize computer software diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
- Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software to document parts usage and repair times.
- Review, complete, or assign repairs.
- Perform maintenance related work as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in heavy truck repair
- or heavy, medium duty or farm equipment repair.
- or forklift or construction equipment repair.
- or automotive maintenance and repair.
- Completion of a diesel or automotive tech program.
A good attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic are preferred qualities.
Must maintain your own tool set (company provided tool program available).
