As a PCU RN, you’ll deliver comprehensive care to adults with a range of medical-surgical diagnoses who require close monitoring, frequent assessments, and a coordinated plan of care. Daily responsibilities include continuous vital-sign surveillance, telemetry interpretation, IV therapy administration, medication management, and timely escalation when patient status changes. You’ll participate in patient education, discharge planning, and collaboration with physicians, case managers, and allied health staff to optimize transitions of care.
Your role includes charting with accuracy and compliance, optimizing patient flow, and participating in quality-improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is adaptable, demonstrates clinical judgment, and communicates with clarity under pressure.
