Job Summary

This temporary position is responsible for coordinating the provision of student testing. The employee must obtain and maintain required certifications. If not currently certified, the employee must be willing to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.

Responsibilities
  • Develops testing schedule for the annual academic calendar for college tests.
  • Administers a variety of tests and examinations, including but not limited to, placement tests, licensure exams, program admissions test, and eCore testing.
  • Coordinates the operation of the testing center, including strategic planning, assessment, communication with various units and testing organizations, and maintenance of testing systems and applications.
  • Achieves and maintains annual certification as Testing Center Administrator, and coordinates the training and supervision of Testing Proctors to operate the Testing Center in compliance with state and national regulations.
  • Implement safety and security procedures that protect academic integrity in all testing operations.
  • Maintains test inventory; processes orders and purchases; and maintains security of tests.
  • Preparation and monitoring of the unit budget, purchase requisitions, supplies, and equipment inventory.
  • Administers and provides, under the direction of the Office of Disabilities Services, accommodations in the testing environment for students receiving accommodations as required by ADA.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Educational Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
Other

Required Qualifications
  • Testing Administrator Certifications for various exam institutions (The College Board, Elsevier, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Educational Qualifications
  • Masters degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
Preferred Experience
  • More than three years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities KNOWLEDGE
  • Knowledge of testing principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of scheduling principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of the standards and requirements of a variety of test providers.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.

  • Skill in the operation of computers and job‑related software programs.
  • Skill in decision making and problem solving.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
