• Teach a part-time load of courses in educational foundations, elementary pedagogy, and/or middle grades pedagogy.
• Prepare syllabi that align with course learning outcomes; implement research-informed and practice-based learning experiences with teacher candidates; assess course learning outcomes informally, formally, and through performance-based means.
• Maintain office hours and collaborate closely with faculty to support the success of our programs and teacher candidates.
• Teach courses using in-person, hybrid, or virtual modalities as needed.

• Observe, mentor, and evaluate teacher candidates following the expectations of specific practicum or Internship experience as outlined in the syllabi.
• Facilitate pre-lesson and post-lesson reflection conferences with teacher candidates and submit timely evaluations and feedback.
• Conduct both in-person and video observation cycles.
• Build relationships and facilitate on-going communication between teacher candidates, school-based mentor teachers, administrators, and program faculty.
• Attend required field supervisor trainings and teacher candidate professional learning seminars.

• Master’s degree in education.

• Must possess a current valid driver license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review.

• At least three years of P-12 teaching experience.

• Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) or Doctorate in education.

• Experience with pre-service or in-service teacher development and learning.
