Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring a TX or compact license and at least two years of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital intensive care unit (ICU)

• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00

• Assignment length is 13 weeks

• Altera charting system experience preferred but not required

• Mandatory facility drug screening on arrival, including for Marijuana; a positive result leads to automatic cancellation

• Complete required online learning modules (non-billable, 6-8 hours) during orientation

• Professional references from supervisors within the last 3 years are required

• Travel nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration

• Minimum of 2 years’ recent ICU or critical care nursing experience

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and any required certifications must be verified

• Resume and certification documentation required for consideration

• Clinicians must be available to complete labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance or have a specific plan for completion

• Local candidates within 150 miles are not eligible

• Previous permanent staff must have been gone for at least one year prior to return as a traveler
