Centralized Support Nurse

Job Summary:

Provides nursing care using the nursing process. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care. Interacts with patients and their loved ones while maintaining professional nursing standards. Provides care primarily for adult patients during admission and discharge. May float to different hospital units based on need, capacity, and competency. Participates in committees, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives. Must adhere to the Texas Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (AD or Diploma).
• Recent acute care experience required.
• Registered Nurse – State of Texas License.
• CPR-BCLS.
• ACLS (before completion of orientation).
• NIHSS (before completion of orientation).
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Handle confidential information appropriately.
• Data entry skills.
• Operate therapeutic equipment.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and standards of care.
