Job Details:

• Work in Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) with 2:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends

• Self-scheduling system with weekend coverage required - 14 weekend shifts per contract

• Float to med/tele units as needed

• 12-hour orientation provided

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 10 in 12-bed unit

• 2 years of ICU experience required with travel experience preferred

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

• Must have experience with surgical intensive care, sheath removal, GI surgery, surgical wounds with drains/Wound Vac

• Manage patients with dysrhythmias, multisystem organ dysfunction, and cardiac devices including IABP and Impella

• Handle pre/post cardiac catheterization care and pulmonary artery line monitoring

• Administer IV insulin protocols, manage chronic/acute renal failure patients

• Provide care for ventilated patients including high flow nasal cannula and BiPAP/CPAP

• Manage arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration

• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, administer continuous IV sedation and paralytics

• Charting system experience required with Altera experience preferred

• Must live more than 150 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)

• Facility conducts mandatory drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing

• One pre-approved time off period available during contract
