- Transport people in a shuttle between locations
- Safely load and unload cargo as needed
- Responsible for ensuring shuttle contents are secured for safe and undamaged delivery to destination
- Avoiding high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possible
- Monitor service records of the vehicle when driving and report all problems to manager immediately
- Responsible for the cleanliness of vehicle and refueling when low
- In case of emergency contact immediate supervisor and provide detailed information to remedy issue
This is a temporary position with Space
X, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.
- LENGTH OF POSITION: 3 months (permanent hire conversion based on performance and business need)
- LOCATION:
Brownsville, TX
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of professional experience driving people in a commercial setting OR 6+ months of contracting driving experience at SpaceX
- Class B CDL passenger endorsement
- 10+ years of professional driving experience
- Professional experience driving people
- Outstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codes
- Experience with route planning
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong customer-service background
- Valid driver's license and clean DMV record
- Ability to work all required hours, weekends and off-shifts with minimal notice
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C.
* 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C.
