Quality Assurance Specialist conducts internal monitoring of the program to evaluate effectiveness and compliance with policies and procedures to include financial services payments and reporting requirements.
Essential Functions- Develop and implement a comprehensive monitoring plan to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Establish and implement a reporting system that provides an analysis of the monitoring results to the Board staff, Director, Supervisors, and direct staff.
- Assist the Director and Supervisors in assessing the training needs of the staff. Provide technical assistance and training as needed.
- Responsible for the Recoupment process for clients and child care providers.
- Responsible for appeals and fact-finding investigations for clients and providers and data entry in PIRTS.
Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Child Development, Early Childhood, Special Education, Child or Educational Psychology, or related field, plus two-year experiences in social service, Child Care Licensing, or child development programs. In lieu of bachelor’s degree, 5 years of related experience is required in Workforce childcare, social service, Child Care Licensing, or child development programs.
- Knowledge of TX3C (System).
- Must have excellent verbal, written communication skills, and demonstrated customer service skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of local, state, and federal rules, regulations, and policies.
- Knowledge of Child Care Contract.
- A valid Texas motor vehicle operator’s license and reliable means of transportation.
Includes both a typical office environment, with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and local travel, including exposure to heat, cold, inclement weather conditions, and occasional environmental hazards.
