Responsibilities
- Torch cut outlines of a 15x10 ft piece from vessel for removal.
- Torch cut rigging points for crane to connect to piece.
- Rig piece to be detached from vessel.
- Removing mast, posts, boilers, engines, hatch covers, etc. by torch cutting and rigging.
- Working from 40 hours plus overtime in a week.
- Working inside enclosed or confined spaces.
- Working from heights.
- Working in hot (up to 110°F)/cold weather (as low as 35°F).
- Working near moving equipment operations.
- Work Environment:
Scrap metal recycling and torch cutting area - Equipment & Tools:
Oxy‑fuel torch cutting equipment, mechanics tools - Physical Demand Level: Moderate to heavy
- Work Capacity:
Torch cutter work capacity - Sensory Demands: hearing, vision, touch, smell and taste
- Hand Movements: repetitive motions, gripping
