MUST UPLOAD HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA/GED AND TX DRIVERS LICENSE

REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) in English;
  • Over one (1) year of related experience in commercial fencing work.
  • A valid Texas Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.
SUMMARY:

Performs general maintenance work relating to repairs and installation of new fences district wide in regard to general maintenance work and construction projects district wide.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Knowledge of fence repairs and new installations; ability to perform work with competence and thoroughness.

Repairs fence and new installations as needed including chain link, hurricane type, wooden fences; maintains familiarity with the different materials and posts used in fencing work.

Erects metal pipes and fencing fabric as needed.

Performs all fencing repairs and cement work as needed.

Demonstrates good craftsmanship quality work.

Reads and comprehends blueprints and understands basic mathematic principles.

Demonstrates knowledge of tools of the trade and fencing work practices.

Reads and comprehends blueprints and understands basic mathematic principles.

Demonstrates desire and ability to work with the dispatcher in such a way that the Maintenance/Facilities Department can run as smoothly as possible.

Strives continually to promote the safety, health and comfort of students and employees in the performance of duties.

Drives District vehicles to and from work site; obeys all traffic laws.

Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.

Maintains confidentiality.

Maintains a high level of ethical behavior as is expected of all District employees.

Maintains professional growth by attending in-service and meetings as requested/required.

Position may require overtime and will respond to service calls in a timely manner while serving on-call duty as necessary to maintain function of District facilities.

Must perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance preventions before and after trips.

Performs any other maintenance trades duties as assigned by Supervisor/Director
