Rabalais I&E Constructors is currently seeking Commercial Journeyman Electricians for the Port Isabel area. Commercial experience is preferred, and a state license is required.

• Assist electrician in installation and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
• Measure, cut, and bend wires and conduit using ruler and hand tools.
• Drill holes for wiring using power drill and pull or push wiring through openings.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors.
• Perform minor repairs such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep supplies and parts organized.
• Disassemble defective electrical equipment such as motors.
• Load, transport, unload, and furnish electrician with materials, tools, and supplies.
• Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as needed.
• May erect scaffolding and assist in securing materials during installation.
• Perform other routine duties as directed by experienced craft persons.

• Minimum 18 years of age, must be U.S. resident.
• Must provide own transportation to and from job sites.
• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Comply with safety standards.
• Have own hand tools.
• Must possess a valid Texas Electric Apprentice License.
• Texas driver’s license preferred;
  State or Government .
• OSHA 10 Plus certification preferred but not required.
• Must not use illegal drugs or excessive alcohol and consent to drug/alcohol testing when required.
• Physical ability: climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, and vessels; lift and carry objects; work in small spaces; bend and crouch; reach, handle, and grasp wires, conduit, and tools.
• Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with precision; use reason and logic; interpret drawings; and perform basic arithmetic accurately.
