$10.75 to $13.00 per hour (hourly rate). We offer a commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and much more. The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage, PLUS employees earn commission based on productivity. The successful Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate's pay is based on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains the display of merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates clearly about the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
• Collaborates with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes required training and other duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, etc.) as required by law.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
• Must be able to work at exterior locations or retrieve products stored in exterior areas as needed.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform basic math.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on gross profit of personal performance. Additional details are provided during the interview process. Earned wage access is available to employees on the second day of employment (up to 50% of earned wages, up to seven times per payroll cycle).

  Sundays are often closed.
• Vacation: 1 week paid after 6 months; 2 weeks after 1 year; 120 hours after 5 years. Schedule may be adjusted per state/local requirements.
• Sick/Personal time: 8 hours after 6 months; 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (2-5 years); 24 hours after 5 years.
