Compensation: $10.20 / hour

Overview

This is for an hourly entry level cashier at the Brownsville, South Padre Island International Airport located at 700 Amelia Erhardt Drive, Brownsville, Texas. Starting pay is $10.20 per hour. Schedule will be 4:00 PM until 1:00 AM, Wednesday through Sunday.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a specified parking lot by performing cash transactions and providing excellent customer service.
  • Handle cash and tickets accurately, maintain organized cash on hand, and prepare cash control/summary sheets with accuracy.
  • Report all overages and shortages; ensure proper change is available.
  • Maintain a neat and organized booth and work area; clean booth interior, windows, and signage/equipment; wipe down and prevent vandalism.
  • Walk the parking lot to pick up trash and empty bags; ensure supplies are stacked and organized.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment; ensure doors/windows are locked and cash is secured when leaving the booth.
  • Deposit cash and control sheets securely prior to deposit; report any odd occurrences or suspicious persons to the supervisor.
  • Be punctual and ensure timecard is punched at the start and end of each shift; adhere to dress code and company policies.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly; provide exceptional customer service by being courteous and helpful to customers.
  • Greet arriving and departing guests; assist guests with questions and concerns; relay information to shift or Operations Manager as needed.
  • Issue and/or collect visitor parking tickets; match visitor ticket forms when original tickets cannot be located.
  • Complete shift/daily reconciliation of receipts, cash, and charges; accurately account for all funds within the cashier drawer.
  • Perform revenue drops following location procedures; maintain a clean, orderly, and safe booth area.
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously when required; report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns to the Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, clients, and teammates at all times.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to verbally communicate with guests
  • Ability to learn quickly and use sound decision making in fast-paced environments
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Basic math skills
  • Experience with cash handling is an asset
  • Previous customer service experience, preferred
