Overview

Texas Oncology is looking for an Infusion RN to join our team! This position will support the Brownsville location. This is a full-time Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays. The role can be Level 1, 2, or Sr based on candidate experience.

What does the Infusion RN do?
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and participate in company‑wide quality initiatives. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
    • Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
  • Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
    • Administer all medications/blood products using correct medication/blood product, dosage/amount, route, time and technique.
    • Assure pre‑authorization and appropriate consent forms are obtained prior to administration of therapies where applicable.
